About the Book – Roxie the Little Fawn

Roxie the Little Fawn is a beautifully heart-warming children’s story inspired by a real little fawn Anna often sees near her home, and by a remarkable woman named Roxie who helped Anna find her own confidence.

In the story, Roxie discovers she has a magical superpower- the ability to help other woodland animals feel calm, brave and happy just by being herself.

When she meets a shy fox cub called Rusty, Roxie realises that kindness, empathy and quiet belief can change someone’s whole world.

The book gently introduces children to:

  • Emotional wellbeing
  • Confidence and self-belief
  • Kindness, empathy and compassion
  • The power of feeling safe and supported

Why Roxie Exists

Anna has been telling the story of Roxie and her woodland friends to children for over 24 years, using it to support children through anxiety, big feelings and moments when they don’t quite believe in themselves.

What began as a bedtime story has now grown into a complete wellbeing philosophy for children with:

  • A planned 7-book series
  • Children’s journals
  • Daily affirmations and meditations
  • Future plans include “Roxie Centres” where children can experience calm, confidence and connection

The Heart Behind the Brand

Roxie is more than a book.

It is a movement built on the belief that:

Every child already has magic inside them. They just need someone to help them see it.

Through Roxie, Anna hopes to help children everywhere grow into calm, confident, kind little humans who believe in themselves and feel brave enough to shine.
